The ball

Like a softball. Tougher, and far easier to grip.

Every Dry Snowball is made by hand from the residual material of foam production. That is where the open, snow-like surface comes from — and why no two balls look exactly alike, yet every one of them is grippy and sustainable.

Four areas

One ball, four very different fields of use.

What makes the snowball work is the same everywhere: it is light, it grips, and nothing hurts when it hits. What changes is what you do with it.

School

PE lessons — and the classroom too

Light and grippy, so children can hold, throw and catch them without a fight. Robust enough to be thrown, kicked and squeezed for a whole lesson. These games live on volume: with 50 or 100 balls, every child gets plenty of movement time and throwing repetitions.

  • Snowball fight
  • Capture the flag
  • Talking ball in class
  • Learning aid with vocabulary cards

Daycare

Small hands, big piles

Nothing hurts when a snowball lands, so throwing indoors is fine. Small hands can actually grip them, and a big pile invites sorting, counting and building. Their character also suits the quiet end of the day: mindfulness, breathing, winding down.

  • Sorting by colour
  • First throwing and catching
  • Breathing and calm-down games
  • Building and stacking

Clubs

Ball school and coordination

Coordination training needs repetitions, and repetitions need balls. The snowball is forgiving enough for beginners who are still learning to catch, and tough enough for weekly training with a full group.

  • Ball school basics
  • Coordination circuits
  • Warm-ups for large groups
  • Sessions with 50–100 balls

Therapy

Grip, touch and fine motor work

The open surface gives clear tactile feedback and the ball squeezes back, which makes it useful for grip strength, sensory work and fine motor tasks. It works seated, standing or in a group, with clients of every age.

  • Grip and hand strength
  • Tactile stimulation
  • Boccia and target games
  • Seated group exercises

From the field

What people tell us.

“They can be used in so many ways — for playful exercises in the classroom just as much as for games in PE. Especially once you have a lot of snowballs, the game ideas become endless.”

Andrea, teacher (@schulzauberei)

“It is just wonderful how the kids go wild for these balls. If I so much as walk across the schoolyard with the net, plenty of them come running over and want to play straight away.”

Saskia Schubert, IGS Kreyenbrück

“They are a pleasant size and their special surface gives them a really great grip. The children in particular had a lot of fun playing with them.”

Sandra, occupational therapist (@ergotherapie_porst)

“The character of the balls also invites our children into mindfulness, breathing exercises and relaxation.”

Good to know

  • Made from offcuts, so the look varies slightly from ball to ball.
  • White balls can discolour under UV light — best used indoors. For outdoor use we recommend the coloured balls.
  • Children under 3 only with adult supervision. The foam is free of harmful substances and food-safe, but is not meant to go in the mouth.
